What many folks have thought was a regulated industry in America, is not. During a hearing in December the founder of Beautycounter testified alongside FDA leaders to illuminate the lack of regulatory power the FDA currently holds.
And I’m not just talking about recalling a product that’s harmful the way they can with lettuce. I’m talking about their inability to restrict harmful chemicals that are known to have adverse effects from being included in skincare and cosmetic products.
